Yongbin is from Seoul, South Korea and received his MPH from Seoul National University, where his research focused on the stress-induced dysbiosis of gut microbiota and its impact on depressive-like behavior of the mice. His current research interest is understanding how gut bacteria may enhance the efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade therapy. Outside the lab, Yongbin loves to play and watch sports, especially tennis and baseball.
