Dr. Zoe O’Conner, MD
Dr. O’Conner grew up in Galveston, Texas and attended The University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate with a major in cell and molecular biology. She earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. She is currently completing her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her clinical interests include healthcare disparities and targeted, immune-mediated treatment for cancer. Her research explores how the gut microbiome influences the anti-tumor response. Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time at the beach, birdwatching, and trying new restaurants.
