Parastoo Sabaeifard PhD

Parastoo grew up in Tehran, Iran. She earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology at Alzahra University and her Ph.D. in Microbiology at Alzahra University in collaboration with Navarra University, Pamplona, Spain, in 2016. She started her first post-doctoral work in 2017, working on non-viral CAR T-cell immunotherapy. In 2018, she joined Dr. Dwight Towler’s lab as a postdoctoral researcher and focused on Cystic fibrosis-related bone disease and also signaling pathways. She joined the Koh lab in 2021. Her research interests include antibiotic resistance and culturomics. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with family, cooking and reading.
