Wenling earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2017 where her research focused on bone development and homeostasis. She did two years of postdoctoral training in NIEHS during 2018-2020, where her research focused on Dnase1L3 deficiency resulting in susceptibility to colitis-associated colorectal cancer. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Koh Lab at UTSW in the Department of Pediatrics. Her current research is focused on gut microbiota triangulation. Outside of the lab, she enjoys cooking.
